Summer earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Utah and is currently completing her Master of Social Work at Arizona State University. Her path into this field grew from years of working alongside teens and parents during moments of transition, overwhelm, and uncertainty, including her work as a certified life coach supporting women through identity shifts and emotional wellness.
Her professional experience spans behavioral health, education, and coaching, allowing her to support individuals and families across many stages of life. She has worked in inpatient pediatric behavioral health, where she facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-based groups and provided support during crisis situations, as well as in community and school settings delivering mental and sexual health education to youth.
Summer also brings experience as a certified life coach and parent coach, supporting women and caregivers through identity transitions, emotional wellness, grief and loss, and parenting challenges. With specialized training in perinatal mood and postpartum support, she is especially passionate about working with parents, postpartum individuals, teens, and families navigating stress, big life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
Across all settings, she is drawn to working with people who feel stuck, unseen, or stretched thin. She values building genuine connection and creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, develop practical tools, and move toward healing and greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.
Her areas of specialty include trauma-informed care, perinatal and postpartum mental health, parenting support, and adolescent well-being. She has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), parenting education, and life skills development, and she is skilled in supporting clients during periods of emotional distress and crisis.
Summer has specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International, along with a strong foundation in strengths-based practice, motivational interviewing, and cultural humility. Her background as a certified life coach also allows her to integrate practical goal-setting, identity work, and mindset support into therapy.
I care for my mental health by staying connected to myself and my loved ones, practicing mindfulness and breathwork, moving my body, and making time for rest, fun, and self-compassion. I also use many of the same tools I share with clients to stay balanced and resilient.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside—hiking, dipping my toes in a lake, or soaking up the sun at the beach (Hawaii will always have my heart!). I love spending quality time with family and friends enjoying the little moments together. And for those cozy, slower days, curling up with a feel-good rom-com. Moments of adventure, connection, and lighthearted fun help me recharge, stay grounded, and bring energy and joy into both my life and my work.
"I know life can feel overwhelming at times, especially during big transitions, parenthood, or moments of stress and uncertainty. In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and blend practical tools, life coaching techniques, and evidence-based practices to help you navigate challenges, build resilience, and feel more confident in yourself. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or navigating your own life changes, I’m here to walk alongside you as you find balance, clarity, and meaningful growth—at your own pace."
