Brooke holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Capella University and is pursuing her Master of Social Work at Arizona State University. Starting in mental health and addiction treatment in 2012, she gained experience in crisis intervention and case management. She transitioned to corrections in 2018, then served as a probation officer in Arizona before returning to Utah in 2023. Her varied roles deepened her understanding of mental health, trauma, and criminal justice intersections, along with PTSD in first responders. A personal loss shaped her passion for grief counseling and motivated advanced clinical training. Her lived grief experience and Compassionate Bereavement Care certification inform her trauma-sensitive, client-centered approach. Sun Icon

With over a decade in behavioral health and criminal justice, Brooke believes past experiences don't define us or limit growth potential. Her work across diverse settings reinforced that everyone has inherent healing capacity. Her background covers mental health, addiction, trauma, grief, mood disorders, and PTSD. She specializes in serving justice-involved individuals while honoring each person's worth and potential. She's passionate about helping with grief and loss, life-changing medical diagnoses, PTSD, first responder challenges, women's health, and addiction recovery. Brooke understands that struggles are chapters in our story, not the entire narrative, and walks alongside individuals discovering their strength and resilience. Mountain Icon

I maintain wellness through mindfulness practices and staying connected to my core values of compassion and service. I engage in grounding activities, practice self-reflection, and apply acceptance principles I teach clients. My grief journey taught me to seek support and practice self-compassion. I prioritize healthy work-life boundaries to prevent burnout and stay emotionally available.

I enjoy exploring Utah and Arizona landscapes, finding peace in nature and yoga, and spending time with family and friends. I value curiosity and wonder, continuous learning about therapeutic approaches, and community volunteering for meaningful causes.

My Philosophy

"Your life will only truly begin when you can feel your feelings, not just acknowledge them but fully feel your feelings, all of them." I don't see myself as the expert on your life, you are. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you discover the strength and wisdom you already possess. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, I create a safe space where hope isn't just possible, it's cultivated. Your struggles are chapters in your story, not the whole book. Together, we'll help you write new chapters filled with meaning, connection, and transformation.
